Week 19, Day 2
Objective: Determine the meaning of grade-level technical academic English words derived from Latin roots and affixes; Demonstrate familiarity with works by authors in American fiction from each major literary period; Revise drafts to clarify meaning and achieve logical organization by adding transitional words and phrases; Write an interpretation of a literary text that identifies and analyzes the ambiguities, nuances, and complexities within the text and anticipates and responds to readers' questions or contradictory information; Reflect on understanding to monitor comprehension.

  2. Grade Week 18 SAT Quiz
  3. Grade W17 and W18 DRE
    1. Discussion about DREs
    2. Lecture/Instruction including
      1. Plural v. Possessive Nouns
      2. Rules for Possessive Nouns
      3. Subject/Verb Agreement
      4. Pronoun Agreement
  4. Grade and Discuss "The Fall of the House of Usher" Reading Guide
  5. Study for Week 19 SAT Quiz
  6. Reminders:
    1. Bring a book to class to read EVERYDAY!  
    2. Grades will be put into SkyWard either today or tomorrow.  Remember, if it does not have a "ZERO," do not worry about it.  It marks it as "missing" when I haven't entered the grade yet.  
    3. Corrections for Week 17 SAT Quiz are due Thursday by 4:00pm.
