Week 2, Day 2
Objective: Vocabulary Development, Inferencing Skills

1. Bell Work #3: Define fact and inference.  Explain the difference between the two.  Then, explain the 3-2-1 method.  If you need help, see  this handout:

Demonstrate your understanding of the 3-2-1 Method by doing it for the following image:                                 

1. Write 3 facts about the image.
2. Write 2 inferences. 
3. Write 1 question. 
1. Reminders for your bell work: 
1. Your bell work today will be written down (IN PEN!), in your spiral.  If you do not have your spiral yet, borrow a piece of paper and you will have to transfer the prompt into your spiral to be graded.
2. Please put the date in the margin with the #3.
3. Use complete sentences with correct punctuation and grammar.
4. All writing in here is considered FORMAL.
1. No contractions.
2. No slang.
3. Avoid passive voice. (If you add "by zombies" or "with zombies" and it makes sense...that is passive voice!  Change it!)
5. Your bell work needs to be at least 40 words.  Please underline every 10th word.
