Week 30, Day 2
Objective: recognize distinctive and shared characteristics of cultures through reading; understand cultural background to literary texts, grade level vocabulary, and listening for understanding.

  1. Bell Work: Friday's date (April 10, 2015) was a significant date for The Great Gatsby.   What was significant about this date and why? (80 words and SAT words not required today.)

    1. Friday is the last day of this six weeks.  
    2. Stay on top of your assignments and due dates.  Turn your work in!
  4. Continue reading Chapter 3 of The Great Gatsby as a class.  
    1. Take notes as you read.
    2. Chapter 3 Quiz will be on Thursday.

    1. Next week's SAT Quiz will be over Week 21-25 words.  
    2. Work on Free Rice...this is the only way you will be able to have a daily and quiz grade dropped. Dropped daily and test grade=25,000 grains in my group.  Dropped daily grade=10,000 grains in my group.  DEADLINE: THURSDAY, APRIL 16TH AT MIDNIGHT.
