Week 29, Day 3
Objective: recognize distinctive and shared characteristics of cultures through reading; understand cultural background to literary texts, grade level vocabulary, and listening for understanding.

  1. Bell Work: Now that you have finished Chapter 1 of The Great Gatsby, what do you think?  Any predictions?
    1. 80 word minimum and 2 SAT words (EVERYDAY, unless I say otherwise!)
  2. Bell Work Discussion
  3. The Great Gatsby Chapter 1 Quiz
  4. Finish SAT Quiz from yesterday, if you need to.  
  5. Ethics Essay-trade with someone and peer edit.
    1. Meet with them...talk with them...give them ideas, suggestions!!!
  6. Make corrections to your Ethics Essay.  Due date change: MONDAY, APRIL 13, 2015.  
  7. You may begin reading Chapter 2 of The Great Gatsby on your own.  
    1. Take notes as you read.
    2. Quiz over Chapter 2 FRIDAY or MONDAY!  (Let's see how it goes today and tomorrow.)

  9. Reminders:
    1. Work on Free Rice...this is the only way you will be able to have a daily and quiz grade dropped.  I will announce the numbers that you have to get to.  But know that they will be pretty high...like above 25,000.
