HAPPY BANNED BOOKS WEEK!  This is a week celebrating your FREEDOM TO READ! 
  1. Bell Work #16-Challenged Classics with Reasons-Using the lists on the website, make a list of 5 books you'd like to read and 5 you've already read.  If you come up with more...that is okay!
      1. I'm just looking for two lists.  It does NOT have to be at least 40 words, you do NOT have to use SAT words, and you do NOT have to underline every 10th word (actually, every book title should be underlined because it is the title of a book!)  
  2. 7th and 8th period-Video about Lynne Cox and Swimming to Antarctica (as a class)
  3. Watch Banned Book Videos (as a class)

    3. Think about how YOU feel about banned and challenged books. Think about YOUR opinion of censorship.  
    4. What is your opinion of censorship?  Is it ever okay?  If so, when?  If not, why not?  What is your opinion of banned and challenged books?  Why do you think some books are banned?  Explain your reasoning.

  3. You will need to complete Part I of "The Monkey's Paw" Study Questions (Google Classroom) as you read and Part II after you read. (due tomorrow by 4:00pm)
