Week 19, Day 2
Objective: Persuasive Techniques

1. Appetizer #10-Why is it important to present the opposing view in a persuasive argument?
2. Persuasive Pre-Writing Assignment
3. Persuasive Summarizing Framework
4. Using the Framework as a guide, you will write a final copy of your persuasive essay on a handout I will give you.
5. You will need to make sure that you PROOFREAD the essay.  The final copy will count as a TEST GRADE!
6. When turning it in: 
1. Staple the summarizing framework on top of the final copy.  
2. Turn it in at the BEGINNING of class on THURSDAY.  
3. You'll have today and tomorrow (after the quiz) to work on it.  
7. Reminders/Announcements:
1. Extra Credit-Bring new or gently used blanket for extra credit.
2. Week 18 SAT Quiz either tomorrow or Wednesday.
